Katraj Dairy, run by the Pune District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd, will organise ‘Katraj Dairy Expo 2010’ from December 11 to 13. A first-ever livestock exhibition will also be held, to mark the 70th birthday of Union agriculture minister, Sharad Pawar, on Sunday.
Federation chairman, Rambhau Tule, said there will be seminars, group discussions and an interaction with experts. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday by Pune zilla parishad president, Savita Dagade.
District guardian minister, Ajit Pawar, will open the livestock exhibition on Sunday. State legislative assembly speaker, Dilip Walse-Patil, will preside over the function.
A seminar on milk adulteration and its legal provisions will take place on Monday. Chairman of the Maharashtra State Cooperative Milk Federation, Vinayakrao Patil, will inaugurate it. District collector Chandrakant Dalvi, who heads the district level committee against milk adulteration, will preside over it. Baramati Lok Sabha MP, Supriya Sule, will attend the award function.
