A visit to the state-of-the-art museum, Darshan, on the premises of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission is like walking through the life of Sadhu Vaswani, founder of the mission.

The life story of the spiritual leader is effectively unveiled through a series of audio-visual shows and excellent use of art work in 100 minutes. Darshan will be inaugurated by actor Aamir Khan on August 1 as a part of the 93rd birthday celebration of Sadhu Vaswani’s follower and now the head of the mission, Dada JP Vaswani.

Conceptualised by Dada 10 years ago, it’s a tribute to his guru. The use of new technology like 3D holographic imagery and digital audio makes the experience all the more real. It is combined with wonderful art work.

Sadhu Vaswani lived most of his life as a fakir, despite high education and working in high posts in the teaching profession. He preached love and reverence for all. Born on November 25, 1879, he left for his heavenly abode on January 16, 1966, in Pune.

His love for humanity is highlighted through small incidents in his life. Narration along with short films is brought to life through wonderful sets comprising statues that seem real. A proper environment has been created through artefacts, photographs and furniture inside the museum.

The museum, spread across 10,000 square feet, aims at giving a unique experience to those who visit it. Visitors can also go through the spiritual book, Nuri, written by Sadhu Vaswani, which has been made available with the use of multimedia. About 100 books by Sadhu Vaswaniare also showcased at the museum.

Dada’s pet project, the museum was completed in two years. The museum will be open from 11 am to 5 pm, except Thursdays.
