Maharashtra governor assesses situation in Pune

Sankaranarayanan who was in Coimbatore when the blast took place last evening, rushed to Mumbai in the morning cancelling his two day official visit.

Maharashtra governor K Sankaranarayanan today assessed situation in Pune post blast, which left nine killed and 57 injured.
    
Sankaranarayanan was briefed by additional chief secretary home, Chandra Iyengar at Raj Bhavan this afternoon. He would be also meeting chief minister Ashok Chavan later during the day, an official from the governor office said.
    
The governor has expressed deep anguish over the terror attack and conveyed his sympathies to the families of the victims, the official said.
