Man dies in freak mishap in Pune
A 25-year-old youth, Amol Santul Chavan, was killed on the spot in Khadki on Saturday afternoon after coming under the rear wheels of a dumper truck.
A 25-year-old youth, Amol Santul Chavan, was killed on the spot in Khadki on Saturday afternoon after coming under the rear wheels of a dumper truck.
A complaint in this regard was registered by the victim’s brother-in-law, Ravi Moreshwar Pawar (22) of Khadki, with the Yerawada police station.
The police booked the dumper driver, Sikandar Kumar Yadav of Bihar, for rash and negligent driving.
The police said Chavan and Pawar were travelling in the dumper and going to a site, where an overbridge is being constructed near Holkar Bridge.
After reaching the site, Chavan and Pawar got off the vehicle, but suddenly Yadav put the dumper in reverse gear and Chavan came under it.
