Minister of State for Home Satej Patil has entered the Limca Book of Records for receiving notebooks on his birthday and distributing them to poor children.
Patil has been asking his well-wishers to gift him notebooks instead of flowers on his birthday. In 2007, he received 2,12,423 notebooks which were given to 56,000 children. In 2013, he got around 33,24,661 notebooks worth Rs1.5 crore.
The books were distributed to 7,92,436 children.
