MNS to provide free driving lessons to women in Mumbai

Nearly 100 women have been selected after interviews and they will be handed over their learning license on Monday.

The women's wing of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) will provide free training in driving to women in Mumbai and help them to get jobs as drivers.

Nearly 100 women have been selected after interviews and they will be handed over their learning license on Monday. The party has tied up with a driving academy in suburban Mumbai to train the women from January five, MNS vice-president Shalini Thackeray said.

She said after the training, MNS would help them get jobs in private taxi services like Meru as well as call centres and airport taxi services.
