He was rushed to St George’s Hospital and died on Tuesday. The railway administration, however, said that he was waiting to pick up a train at CST. CR motormen at CST paid homage to Manoj Singh in the lobby on Tuesday.

Motormen and staff said that he safely completed the 64.5km Titwala-CST journey and collapsed in the motorman’s lobby.

Sources said this is the real indicator of how strenuous the job of a motorman has become. Motorman’s union has demanded an assistant driver in the cab to ease the pressure.
