MSEDCL lineman caught red-handed for accepting bribe

A lineman of MSEDCL was caught in Dhule district by the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau for accepting a bribe of Rs4,000.

A lineman of MSEDCL was caught in Dhule district by the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for accepting a bribe of Rs4,000.

Ramesh Pimpale, who worked with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited in the technical division was held yesterday after complainant Pundalik Pawar, a resident of Vasant Nagar, approached the ACB following the demand made by the lineman for a new electric connection in his agricultural land, sources said here.

Pimpale was held after ACB laid a trap and caught him accepting the amount red-handed, they added.
