Dreams of 14-year-old Akash Pandey from Jabalpur and eight-year-old Mansi Tiwari from Mumbai are soon to come true. The two have won the Motu Patlu Hero Hunt -- a quiz-based Nickelodeon summer campaign -- and will not only get to meet their favourite cartoon characters but will also appear as animated characters in one of the episodes.
Tiwari, a Kalyan resident, said, "I watch Motu Patlu every day. It is my favourite cartoon. I am happy to win the competition. Now I will be seen with my favourite cartoon characters in one of the episodes. I have told my close friends about it. My father helped me answer the quiz."
Echoing her sentiments, Pandey said, "When I started watching Motu Patlu, everybody at home started watching it as well. We all love the characters. I have not told my friends about my win yet. I want to see their reaction when they see the episode in which my character will be there."
Commenting on the campaign, Nina Elavia Jaipuria, executive vice-president and business head of Kids Cluster, said, "At Nickelodeon, we have always endeavoured to make dreams come true for kids through campaigns such as the Motu Patlu Hero Hunt. This innovative engagement gave an opportunity to children to turn into stars. We are thrilled with the amazing response and the excitement among the winners."
The plot of the show revolves around two friends Motu and Patlu living in Furfuri Nagar. They often land in hilarious situations and are saved by sheer luck. The comedy of errors and the friendship between the characters are adored by children.
