MUMBAI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Thursday admitted that the ''speed of Mumbai make over'' is not as per expectations, and said that with a time bound programme upto 2012 government will try to fulfill the programme.
Talking to reporters after arrival from a tour of Davos and Germany, Deshmukh said the time bound programme will cover all infrastructural angles including power, road, sky rail, metro, water surface transport and airports.
He said that during his visit the international community did raise the issues about infrastructure and they were told about the future plans.
Chief Minister said the speed that metro was going on was not proper. As far as power is concerned, both the state and private sector would be able to generate 7000 MW each power within a few years.
Deshmukh said he told the international community that apart from Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nasik, Aurangabad are also the places where the investors are interested in.
