Mumbai: Parents forget 6-yr-old in train, Railway Police reunites them

The parents, who had mistakenly forgotten their child in the Sainagar Express train as they were rushing to get down at the Kalyan station.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF), on Wednesday, has helped the parents of a six-year-old girl to reunite with their child.

Both the parents assumed that the other has taken the baby, leading to confusion. The little girl, who was sleeping at the time was left abandoned inside the train.

As the Sainagar Express was about to reach the busy station at Kalyan, the parents, Omprakash Yadav and his wife was in a haste to get off the train. Hence, they gathered all their bags and prepared to alight.

"The parents thought that either of them has picked up the girl, but after they got down from the train, they realized that she is not there," said Satish Menon, the inspector in- charge of RPF Central Railways.

The train had left for Dadar until they realized that their daughter was missing. Subsequently, they immediately the station master at Kalyan.

Following this, the station master informed his counterpart in Dadar.

When the train reached Dadar at 4.30am, the RPF team found the six-year-old snoozing, completely unaware of what had transpired.
