The actor also paid Rs 2.91 crore as stamp duty to the government for its registration.

In one of the big-ticket realty deals struck by a Bollywood celebrity this decade, Shahid Kapoor has bought a duplex in upscale Worli for Rs 55.60 crore. The actor also paid Rs 2.91 crore as stamp duty to the government for its registration.

The flat is located on the 42nd-43rd floors of Tower B of Three Sixty West, and the portions of the two floors measure 427.98 square metre and 300.48 sq m, including a balcony spanning 40.88 sq m. The total area adds up to 801.30 sq m, or 8,625 sq ft.

Along with the flat, the Padmaavat actor gets six car parking spots in the building.

The property was registered on July 12, after the deal had been finalised on June 27. The flat has been registered in the names of Shahid Pankaj Kapoor, 37, and his wife, Mira Shahid Kapoor, 24. The couple currently resides at Praneta Building at Juhu Tara Road.

The Kapoors have other celebrities from Bollywood for their neighbours.

In August 2015, actor Akshay Kumar had paid Rs 27.94 crore to buy a flat in the same building. Actor Abhishek Bachchan had also bought a flat, for Rs 41.14 crore, in the same building in November 2014.

In March this year, cutting a high-profile deal, industrialist Niraj Bajaj had paid Rs 120 crore for a flat on the 50th floor of Three Sixty West.

According to the website of Three Sixty West's builders, Oberoi Realty, the complex is a mixed-use two-tower development in Worli. One will house The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the other will have luxury residences managed by The Ritz-Carlton.

The towers are angled so that each home has a sea view and enjoys privacy.

This correspondent's attempts to contact Vikas Oberoi of Oberoi Realty and Shahid Kapoor for a comment yielded no response.
