Mumbai University changes schedule yet another time

The Mumbai University on Friday announced further changes in the schedule of the ongoing examinations. This is the fourth time that the varsity has rescheduled exams this season.

The university has rescheduled the TYBA (sem V) counselling psychology paper and computers in education paper, slotted for April 22 to June 18. Similarly, it has also shifted the industrial psychology paper from May 7 to 17.

The varsity has also changed the timings for the MA (sem I) political science's international law paper scheduled for April 22 and MA (sem II) English: literary theory and criticism scheduled on April 28 from 11am to3 pm on the same day.

The decision was made on Thursday after several students complained about the clash to the controller of examination.

Earlier this month, the varsity had rescheduled over 126 papers a day ahead of the exam due to the election training assigned to the teachers and staff. In the following week, the schedule was revised two more times due to the exams clashing on the same day.

The constant rescheduling has given students added worry during the exams. "There are constant changes in the schedules. We have to make sure that we check the university website at least once a day so that we do not lose out on any update. On Thursday, the website was also down and we were worried if we would miss an announcement," said a TYBA student.

With the examinations being pushed to mid-june, the students are also worried about a delay in the results. "I have not taken up either international law or literary theory so my exams will get done much earlier.

However, with the exams go on till June, all the TYBA results might be delayed. This might effect our future plans where we require the marksheets," said a student.
