At least two children were killed after a 72-inch water pipeline burst in Mumbai's Bandra East on Friday.
The incident took place in Bandra's Behrampada area.
The 8-month-old, Vignesh Doiphode, was rushed to Bhabha hospital, but was declared dead on arrival, said disaster control officials.
Priyanka Dohiphode (9) was taken to VN Desai hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
