Heavy rain, accompanied with thunder and stormy winds, lashed the city and other parts of the district for the second consecutive day yesterday, bringing down temperatures and boosting hopes of water level in dams rising.A 47-year-old man, Sitaram Murlidhar Sangle, was killed in village Talwade when lightning struck him last night, reports reaching here said today.Igatpuri recorded 57 mm rain, followed by Nashik city 42 mm and Trimbakeshwar 2 6mm, the weather office said.    Thirty-six houses belonging to adivasis at Hemadpada vilalge were damaged. Tins of an anganwadi school and a gram panchayat office were blown away in stormy winds, the reports said.    Farmers are happy over the timely arrival of monsoon rains as they can now start their farming activities.
