The state government on Monday revoked NCP legislator Jitendra Awhad's suspension.

Awhad was suspended on Friday for the rest of the winter session of state assembly in Nagpur for using foul language against BJP minister Prakash Mehta.

State parliamentary affairs minister Girish Bapat said in the assembly that Awhad regretted his unwanted comment and promised that in future he won't use such language again.

After Awhad's suspension, NCP had declared a boycott over the proceedings. The two parties, however, came to an agreement that if Awhad's suspension is revoked, NCP would participate in the proceedings from Monday.
