Senior PI Prakash Kale was transferred due to his inability to solve two sensational cases of rape and murder of children that took place in the jurisdiction of his police station over the last two months.

Senior inspector of Nehru Nagar police station PI Prakash Kale was transferred out of turn on Wednesday to the Local Arms Unit.
According to sources, senior PI Prakash Kale was transferred due to his inability to solve two sensational cases of rape and murder of children that took place in the jurisdiction of his police station over the last two months.

In February, a five-year-old girl was found raped and murdered and her body dumped on the staircase of a building, while last month, an eight-year-old girl was found raped and murdered on the terrace of Nehru Nagar police colony building.

Police had arrested a person in connection with the case but could not gather enough evidence against him. He has been sent to judicial custody.

When contacted, senior police officers denied that Kale was transferred due to his inability to solve the two cases.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Rajneesh Seth said, “Kale’s transfer is due to administrative reasons.”
