Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today made it clear that he never made any connection between coalition politics and price rise.
"One last thing I would like to say, about the price rise comment. That was a complete misquote. I never made the connection between coalition and price rise," Rahul told reporters here.
"I don't think coalition politics forces you. Coalition politics sometimes make things more complicated. But if your intention is correct and your focus is on the right thing and on the right area and if you are thinking about long term change, then it is possibly manageable within the coalition framework. There is no problem with that," he said.
To a query on his party fielding him as prime minister in next polls, Gandhi said, "This is your assumption, not mine (assumption). My assumption and my work is to repair the political system."
