Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) today asked Shiv Sena if it agreed with Baba Ramdev's clarification that he drew inspiration from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's guerrilla tactics, when he tried to escape from Ramlila Maidan, after donning woman's clothes last week.

"Shiv Sena never tires of invoking Shivaji's name for its political benefit. Then, why is the party silent on Ramdev's statements, asking what is wrong in donning woman's clothes since it was part of guerrilla warfare inspired from the Maratha warrior king," MPCC spokesman Anant Gadgil asked.

Shivaji never wore woman's clothes  and never hid behind women.

"Ramdev is indulging in politics in the garb of preaching yoga. His hidden agenda of targetting Congress and the UPA government, in the name of corruption, has now been exposed," he said.

Gadgil expressed surprise why certain media organisations and civil rights activists are keeping mum over Ramdev's call to raise an army of 11,000 young men, his travels by private jet and an island gifted to him.
