The students’ grievances redressal committee (SGRC) of the Mumbai University is all set to go electronic for the first time since its initiation. Not only will the forms for complaints be available online, students will also get regular updates on their complaints through SMSes.

SGRC chairman and also a senate member of the university, Sameer Desai, said, “We are in the process of making the entire system more student-friendly. By submitting the complaints online, students need not visit the university to fill up the forms. Most of the preliminary work will be done using the internet. And SMSes being the latest mantra in the e-age, we are planning to send messages to the students as well.”

Generally, after the initial application, the public relations office of the university sends message by post or even tries to call up the students. Now the updates will be sent to the students through SMSes.
