Teenagers here are making a beeline to grab Obama T-shirts ahead of the US President's visit to the city on November 6-7.
T-shirts with pictures of the world leader are put on display at a clothing store in Colaba in South Mumbai.
"T-shirts with Obama's picture have become quite a hit among teenagers. Both Indian and foreigners are pouring in great numbers to buy these tees," Kishor Sabraj Punjabi, sales personnel, with the retail Tantra Stores, told PTI.
It seems the president is very popular among youth, and may be they want to display their love for the iconic leader through these T-shirts, he said.
Interestingly, this is the first time the store is selling merchandise bearing any political personality.
"We started selling these tees from October. We are making good sales, we manage to sell minimum of five T-shirts per day," Punjabi said.
Barack Obama's three-day India visit begins in Mumbai from November 6.
