Disaster Management Department of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that in the wee hours, a wall of Akruti Centre point collapsed killing one Alam Shaikh (27).
  
City and adjacent district of the state received heavy rainfall last night dropping the temperature considerably. However, Weather Department expressed that they were unsure whether monsoon has arrived or it was pre-monsoon shower.
  
The Deputy Director General of Metrological department CVV Bhadram said, ''We are collecting the report from various parts of the state, we will review the situation at around 1300 hrs, only then will the Department will be able to confirm the arrival of monsoon in the city.''
  
The rainfall lashed the city therefore the office-goers faced hardship to reach their destination as the local trains were delayed.
  
Disaster Management Department of BMC said Central Railway trains both Harbour and Main line were running 20 to 25 minutes behind the scheduled, while Western Railway train were running five to ten minute late.
  
Water accumulated at several low-lying areas like Milan Subway, Khar Subway, Dadar TT, Hindmata, Wadala Bridge, Malad subway, Andheri and Lalbaug.
  
During the last 24 hours ended at 0830 hrs, rainfall received at Colaba was 83.3 mm and Santacruz recorded 161.7 mm.
