With assembly elections round the corner, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray is on an inauguration spree whether the project is complete or not.

Uddhav is busy inaugurating a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) project every alternate day. In the last 15 days he inaugurated six gardens and various other projects and is scheduled to inaugurate two more tomorrow.

On Wednesday BMC has organised inauguration of makeover of the Veermataa Jijabai Bhosale Udyan and zoo at Byculla and inauguration of beautification of Gateway of India and the garden near the monument.

Uddhav began his inauguration campaign with Lokmanya Tilak Ganesh Visarjan Talao (immersion lake) at Jogeshwari on August 6. BMC has created the artificial lake for immersion of small Ganesha idols. Barring this all the other functions were organised in haste to avoid the model code of conduct.
