Additional commissioner of police Vishwas Nangre Patil was left shocked on Friday night after a run-in with prostitutes.

Additional commissioner of police Vishwas Nangre Patil was left shocked on Friday night after a run-in with prostitutes. He shared his experience, where some prostitutes at Juhu ran behind him shouting "Chal tu gabru jawan hain, 1000 dede," on a social networking website.

Patil was in Juhu patrolling in his private car. He stopped in front of some prostitutes at a bus stop and tried to convince one of them to quit the profession. The prostitute abused him and asked him to mind his own business.

"Prostitutes standing at the bus stop, and in other parts of Juhu, is something we've seen for decades. It's not something we can change," said a police officer on condition of anonymity.

Later, Patil took his comments off the site. "My views on the website were personal. It was a tragic experience, and if possible, the help of NGOs will be taken for their betterment and welfare," said Patil.
