This comes a day after two Shiv Sena MPs from Pune — Shivajirao Patil from Bhosari constituency and Gajanan Babar from Maval constituency — expressed their support towards the movement.

Javadekar, however, clarified that this was not his party’s official stand. Volunteers of India Against Corruption (IAC) have been organising sit-in protests outside the homes of the five MPs from Pune district.

On Tuesday, IAC volunteers also congregated outside Nationalist Congress Party MP from Baramati Supriya Sule’s residence at Modibaugh on Ganeshkhind Road for a sit-in protest asking her to support the Bill. “We were not able to contact the MP, but we have sent her an email asking her to support the cause,” said BB Somani, an IAC member.
