Pune cops rescue three women from brothel

Joint raids by the crime branch and social security cell busted a gang of flesh traders with the arrest of three persons in the city.

Senior inspector Bhanupratap Barge, incharge of the social security cell, said, “We got a tip-off about a flesh trade racket being run in the city. On January 12, we laid a trap to arrest brothel owner Rita Karkarda (60) and agents Dinesh Yadav and Priya Sunil Goyal (40). We nabbed Sharad alias Sheru Abbadas Badhe (27), a resident of Kundalwadi and rescued a woman from West Bengal.”

During interrogation, Badhe revealed he works with Dinesh and Priya. “Our team raided Priya’s residence in Lullanagar, from where the the flesh trade was being carried out. Priya has been in the business for three years,” Barge added.

A case has been filed against Rita and Dinesh at the Nigdi police station. A  case has been filed  against Priya at Wanavdi police station.
