Police on Sunday booked founder president of Sinhgad Technical Education Society, MN Navale and two others for allegedly stealing window grills valued at Rs18,000 from Pirangut area.

The Paud police on Sunday booked founder president of Sinhgad Technical Education Society, MN Navale and two others for allegedly stealing window grills valued at Rs18,000 from Pirangut area.

The other two suspects have been identified as Sunanda Navale and Raghunath Javale and they have been booked for offences under sections 379 (punishment for theft) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

A first information report (FIR) has been lodged by a trustee, Ravi Barate with Paud police station in this regard. According to the Paud police on Sunday morning, Navale's accomplices had gone to the campus and had allegedly stolen the iron grill windows and some other equipment from the building on the Pirangut campus.
Assistant police inspector, Manohar Ranmale of Paud police station, told DNA, "We have lodged a complaint in this regard. We will start our investigation from tomorrow."
