Rains lash Mumbai for third consecutive day

The showers subsided as the day progressed with 5.8mm of rain in the city and 6.2mm in the suburbs was recorded from 8.30am till 11.30 am.

Heavy rains continued to lash Mumbai city and suburbs for the third consecutive day today.

The rains, however, did not disrupt normal life with suburban trains plying on schedule with 10-15 minutes delay in the morning.

There was no disruption of rail and road traffic in the morning rush hours.

The city and suburbs recorded 73.3mm and 76.2mm of rainfall respectively till 8.30am, weather bureau said.

More spells of thundershowers and rain with possibility of heavy rains in some areas is expected in the next 24hours.

The maximum temperature will be at 27degree celcius and minimum temperature at 23degree celsius, the weather bureau said.
