Protesting the Supreme Court's order to lift the ban on the controversial biography of Maratha King Chhattrapati Shivaji, members of the Sambhaji brigade today burnt the effigy of the book's author James Laine in Chandur Bazar area in Amravati, police said.The activists also staged a rasta roko at Kharwadi village, they said.Five Sambhaji Brigade leaders were arrested in connection with the case and later released on bail, they added.Meanwhile, Shiv Sena activists burnt the Laine's effigy in Daryapur following the Apex court's order to lift the ban on the book Shivaji, A Hindi king in Islamic India.
