MUMBAI: "God is great... justice has been done to me", said Ajay Marwah, who was acquitted of the charges of keeping in his possession a 9 mm pistol allegedly given by actor Sanjay Dutt to his friends for disposal after the 1993 bomb blasts in the city.
Marwah, who owns two theatres in Kurla and Thane, said he had been coming to the court for 13 years in the hope of getting justice and on Monday God had been kind to him as he was given the benefit of doubt and acquitted of the charges.
Marwah appeared to be very happy on hearing the verdict and said from the court he will go straight to Siddhivinayak temple at Prabhadevi to offer prayers.
When the judgement was delivered Marwah bowed before the judge and said, "Thank You". He then went to his lawyer Farhana Shah to express gratitude.
