Schoolgirl kidnapped by jilted lover in Pune

A 15-year-old secondary school certificate student was allegedly kidnapped by her jilted lover from the Sant Tukaram Vidyalaya in Chandannagar on March 19. The police are yet to find the girl.

A 15-year-old secondary school certificate (SSC) student was allegedly kidnapped by her jilted lover from the Sant Tukaram Vidyalaya in Chandannagar on March 19. The police are yet to find the girl.

The victim’s father, Sham Balbhim Thorat (39) of Lohegaon, lodged a first information report against Pritam Ravi Sasane (20) of Khulewadi in Lohegaon. No arrest has been made.

Sub-inspector Savita Mali is investigating the case.
According to the police, the victim was last seen when she left home around 10 am on March 19 to appear for her board examination at the Sant Tukaram Vidyalaya centre.

Sasane had been harassing the girl since December 2009, and the family had warned him earlier.
