Scrabble Championship across India cities

Landmark stores and Mattel give word buffs a chance to indulge in the iconic board game of Scrabble

If you are worried about your children spending most of their free time engrossed in video games, here's a chance to get children, especially in these summer holidays involved in something fun. Landmark offers an opportunity to sail down memory lane using the power of words through Scrabble. ‘Scrabble Challenge’, in association with Mattel, exclusively in Landmark stores, is set to kick start and be open to all in an attempt to bring childhood back and have the ‘last word’.

The championship entails 2–4 participants competing in the Scrabble board game, which would vary from store to store across the country. The Landmark store will be shortlisting winners between the age group of 6–14 years of age in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai. The winners will receive gift hampers from Mattel. And the final Wordsworth will be sworn in as the ‘Scrabble Champion’ by winning the ‘Ultimate Scrabble Trophy’ on May 15, 2016. Scrabble has been an extremely popular board game—there are over 4,000 Scrabble clubs worldwide and over 150 million Scrabble games sold worldwide across 121 countries.
