Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday asserted that Shiv Sena is still part of National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The war of words with BJP was nothing but a fight between husband and a wife who can not live without each other, he said.
Speaking about strained relationship between BJP and Shiv Sena especially during Palghar Lok Sabha by-election, Gadkari said that the alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena is on the issue of Hindutwa ideology and it still is intact.
He reminded that when he was National President of BJP and Lalkrishna Advani was convener of the NDA, Shiv Sena, Akali Dal and Janata Dal United were in alliance with BJP.
He pointed out that Nitish Kumar as well as Akali Dal and Shiv Sena are still part of NDA with Shiv Sena having its ministers in NDA Government, be it Delhi or Mumbai.
Gadkari further said, "There's no permanent friend or enemy in politics which is a game of compulsions and possibilities. Anything can happen anytime in politics and cricket. Since I am in busy in Delhi, I am not aware of day to day developments in Mumbai. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and state unit president Raosaheb Danve would take a proper call on this issue."
