Shortage of vegetables in Pune

There is a shortage of vegetables due to the prolonged winter and the beginning of summer.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard at Gultekadi received around 50 truckloads of vegetables on Monday. There is a shortage of vegetables due to the prolonged winter and the beginning of summer.

The increased supply of raw mangoes brought the rate down from Rs80 kg to Rs60 per kg. Earlier, on Sunday, the market had received around 150 lorries of vegetables but the rates of tomato, drumstick and cluster beans increased by 10 to 15% due to shortage of supply.
