Shubha Mudgal to perform in support of women's cancer

A music concert, "Soul Stirrings – conquering women's cancers" on Friday 7th November, 2014 at Nehru Centre Auditorium in Mumbai at 6:30 p.m. where renowned classical singer Shubha Mudgal will perform. This year, the Women's Cancer Initiative is celebrating its 10th anniversary, by organizing a fund raising music concert, supported by the Bajaj Group.

The NGO, Womens Cancer Initiative (WCI) which was started by Devieka Bhojwani 10 years back, in partnership with Tata Memorial Centre, has been associated with various activities to help raise funds to support the treatment of women at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai.

Padma Shri Shubha Mudgal, a well-known Indian singer of Hindustani classical music and popular Indian pop music, has extended her support to WCI and she and her colleagues will perform live fusion music.
The music concert will be attended by some of the leading personalities of Mumbai, who have been supporters of the foundation.

The Initiative's core activity comprises material support of socially and economically disadvantaged women who are diagnosed with breast or gynecological cancers. WCI has supported hundreds of such women to complete their prescribed treatment of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, radiation therapy, surgery and rehabilitation.
