A slight intensity earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter Scale hit Thane district in Maharashtra early today.The epicentre of the quake, which occurred at 1.07 am, was at 19.3 degree North latitude and 73.3 degree east longitude, the meteorological department said in New Delhi.No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.
