A boy lost his life in a road accident on Sunday. Omkar Dhumal (3) was travelling with his parents on a motorbike when the mishap occurred.
The investigating officer, sub-inspector S Pawar said, “Vinod, his wife and son were coming from Yerawada towards Wagholi Road at 7.30 pm when an Indica coming from the opposite direction hit their motorbike.”
The victim came under the wheels of the car after it dragged the two-wheeler for 15 feet. The family was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where Omkar was declared dead on arrival.
Vinod (31), of Aaple Ghar Residential Society in Kharadi, lodged an FIR at the Airport police station against the unidentified driver of the car (MH12 BJ 5515). Vinod works at Godrej & Boyce.
