Top architects produced by JJ to be honoured on Jan 19

With a view to recognise groundbreaking work and contribution in the field of architecture, DNA along with the most premiere institute in the field of architecture in the country – Sir JJ College of Architecture has organised a special event called 'DNA Sir JJ Architecture Awards 2018'.

The Award Ceremony that would be held on January 19 at The Lalit in Mumbai aims at acknowledging the work of some of the renowned alumni members of the prestigious Sir JJ College of Architecture who have done exceptional work for the society. 

Twenty architects shall be felicitated at the event with an audience of over 300 people, including reputed architects, artists and enthusiasts.

"As an alumni of the institute, we wanted to do our bit to bring back the past glory to the institute and thus improve the current status of the college. If someone says they are from Harvard, Oxford we are proud that we are from JJ and we want the current and upcoming students to have the same kind of pride in the institute" said Prem Nath, an iconic Indian architect and the president of the Alumni Association of Sir JJ College of Architecture.

Apart from the felicitations, the awards would also have an interesting line up of events including the launch of a coffee table book cover and a panel discussion on recreating the aura of the institute. "We are happy and proud to have an event which celebrates the history of architecture and the institute that has been a pioneer in the field of architecture education in Asia. We are looking forward to hosting such an event to recognise the work of architects every year" said Rajiv Mishra, principal of Sir JJ College of Architecture.
