Toyota Etios launched in Pune

DSK Group chairman and managing director (CMD), DS Kulkarni said Toyota has conceptualised the car keeping Indian customers’ driving needs in mind; designed it in Japan and is the best car for the common man at an affordable price.

Etios, Toyota’s first global mid-size sedan, was officially launched in Pune at DSK Toyota Hadapsar on Thursday with DSK Group chairman and managing director (CMD), DS Kulkarni, handing over the car keys to the first 15 customers.

DSK Toyota executive director, Jitendra Mali and director, Shirish Kulkarni, were present. Kulkarni said Toyota has conceptualised the car keeping Indian customers’ driving needs in mind; designed it in Japan and is the best car for the common man at an affordable price.

With 900 bookings in one month, DSK Toyota holds second largest number of bookings in India. “We are overwhelmed by customers’ trust as we have been serving them for past 12 years,” he said, adding that DSK Toyota would extend, enhance and keep improving its service standards to live up to customers’
smallest expectations.

According to him, Toyota is recognised globally for its quality, hassle-free service and value for money products.

Etios is available in four variants — J, G, V and VX. A newly developed 1.5L, 16V DOHC engine coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission produces high output for best-in-class driving performance. It gives a mileage of 17.6 kmpl and is available in six colours. The car has won ‘Car of The Year’ and ‘Mid Size Car of the Year’ award by Auto Car 2011. The ex-showroom price of the new sedan Etios is Rs4,94,000 for the basic and Rs6,76,000 for the topmost model respectively in Pune.
