In a long due move to go live on social media, Mumbai Police tried to make it big by launching its facebook page and twitter handle on Monday, December 14 during a seminar on cyber crime before it went downhill as they couldn't avail the @mumbaipolice twitter handle.
Why? That username is already taken and the cops don't know who took it!
Though the department is suspecting one of its own officials, they have written to the Twitter office to suspend the @mumbaipolice account as it may mislead citizens and reissue the same to them. According to various reports, the handing over of the account to the Mumbai police has already begun.
