Two minor boys are feared to be dead after they drowned at suburban Juhu beach this morning, police said.
The boys have been identified as Alex Pandey (15) and Rostren Decris (16), police said, adding rescue operations are on.
The duo, residents of suburban Andheri, had gone to Juhu beach this morning along with a group of eight other friends.
"The group had gone into the water to play when Alex and Rostren were pulled in deeper by the waves and water current," a police official said.
Fire brigade officials and police are however unable to carry out the rescue operations due to high tide.
"Due to high tide, the rescue team is not able to venture deeper into the sea," the official said.
