The students of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)-run schools can now benefit from a virtual education system launched by the civic body.The idea was proposed by Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray who inaugurated a virtual classroom studio suburban Andheri today. The Sena rules the BMC."The virtual classrooms would improve the education standard in BMC schools and the students would get guidance from experts," he said.Under the system, all the municipal schools will be connected through satellite. It will be used across all English, Urdu, Marathi and Hindi medium schools.A teacher will address students in all schools from the studio and have interactive sessions with them. Initially, 24 schools will be covered under the project.
