The Yerawada police have booked unidentified persons for allegedly killing a 25-year-old unidentified person and dumping his body on Pune-Ahmednagar Road.

The Yerawada police have booked unidentified persons for allegedly killing a 25-year-old unidentified person and dumping  his body on Pune-Ahmednagar Road.

On Sunday morning, the Yerawada police found a man’s body with serious head and eye injuries. The police had asked local residents about the man’s identity but couldn’t get any clues. Later, the police had taken the body to Sassoon General Hospital for conducting the post-mortem.

According to the post-mortem report, unidentified persons had allegedly assaulted on deceased’s head and eye. As a result, the Yerawada police have registered a complaint under section 302 (punishment for murder) against unidentified persons under
Indian Penal Code, 1860.

Burglars in police net
The Khadak police arrested two burglars on Tuesday and recovered 75 cameras valued at Rs14.80 lakh from their
possession.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Prabhuram alias Prabhu Choigaram Patel (25) of Sinhagad Road and Rajesh Jaigopal Thakur  (25) of Dighi.

According to the police, on December 29, the duo had allegedly broken into Mahavir Photo Emporium and fled with 87 cameras valued at 14.80 lakh.

A complaint had been registered by shop owner Kuwarjee Madan Shaha with the Khadak police station.
