Vailankanni novena from today

A 10-day novena, ahead of the feast of the Lady of Good Health, Vailankanni, will start on Monday at St Ignatius Church in Khadki.

A 10-day novena, ahead of the feast of the Lady of Good Health, Vailankanni, will start on Monday at St Ignatius Church in Khadki. 

The feast will be held on September 8, the birthday of Mother Mary.
During the novena, masses will be said for the sick, children, youth, couples, families, senior citizens, teachers, professionals and others on different days.

On September 8, the last day of the novena, the concelebrated feast mass will be said by Father Keith Abranches.

There would be many stalls of religious books and the Legion of Mary alongside the church. The church would accept special offerings in cash and kind for the poor. Food grains, oil and pulses can be offered daily during the offertory of the mass.

Monday, August 29
5.45 pm:  Rosary followed by procession
6.00 pm: Hoisting of the flag by Fr George D’Souza
6.30 pm: Solemn Eucharistic celebration
Tuesday, August 30 to

Wednesday, September 7
6.30 am: Mass
7 am: Mass
12 noon: Special mass and blessing of the sick with blessed oil
6 pm:  Procession, rosary, litany, novena prayer and blessing of the sick
6.30 pm: Concelebration mass with sermon

Thursday, September 8
6.30 am: Mass 
7 am: Mass
12 noon: Special mass
6.30 pm: Solemn Eucharistic celebration with Fr Abranches
