Minister for irrigation Ajit Pawar highlighted the need for equitable distribution of water in times of changing weather patterns at the ‘Engineers Day’ celebrations last week. “The need of the hour is equitable distribution of limited water resources,” Pawar said. It will take us five years to give our farmers a good irrigation system,” said Poornima Desai, an award winning engineer.
