While admitting the delay in the Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society probe, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said that the state government would request the Adarsh enquiry commission to expedite the probe.

Chavan said that though the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was deputed for the probe about the ownership of the land, it has been investigating various other aspects.

The CBI has every right to investigate any aspect related to the corruption. We have now asked the two-member commission to expedite the probe, Chavan said. He said that no time frame can had been fixed.

Chavan revealed that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had complained during the National Development Council held on Saturday in Delhi, about the inequitable distribution of power by the state government. “He alleged favouritism to the Congress-led state government as far as the distribution of power goes,” Chavan said.
