The State Bank of India (SBI) transaction failures resulting from certain technical glitches led to many customers complaining about it on social media on December 2.
This is not the first time that customers complained about such glitches. There were similar issues raised last month.
On November 22, the largest lender in the country said in a tweet, "We regret the inconvenience caused. There are intermittent connectivity issues with our Servers. Kindly bear with us as our team is on the job to resolve the issue at the earliest. In the meantime, we suggest you to use our other digital channels."
As for the recent technical issues, some customers wondered what the point of living in a digital world is if the users continue to face such issues.
"...what is the point of being in a digital world if I have to wait at a retail shop and be embarrassed because SBI servers are not working," a user said in a tweet.
Another customer who had to deal with a transaction failure tweeted, "@TheOfficialSBI server down since morning... Worse services I want to close my sbi account. Please help, what is procedure of closing sbi account online??"
The situation is worrisome if the largest commercial bank of India in terms of assets, deposits, and other such factors deal with technical glitches every now and then. It also has the largest network of branches in the country. YONO, the digital and lifestyle platform of the SBI, has 26 million registered users.
For those who fail to make their transactions, they can register their complaints online on its complaint website. According to the website, the complaint is then investigated and resolved in a period of seven days. The complainant is informed about the action being taken.
