From February 1, 2021, PNB customers will not be able to withdraw money from non-EMV ATM machines.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has taken a big step to stop the increasing ATM fraud across the country. If you also have an account with PNB, then it is important news for you. From February 1, 2021, PNB customers will not be able to withdraw money from non-EMV ATM machines. PNB has given information about this on its official Twitter handle.

The bank said that in view of increasing cases of fraud, PNB has taken this step, so that customers' money is safe. From February 1 onwards, customers will not be able to do financial or non-financial transactions from ATMs without EMV.

Let us tell you that non-EMV ATMs are those in which the card is not used during the transaction. In this machine, the data is read through a magnetic strip. Apart from this, the card is locked for a few seconds at the EMV ATM.

It is to be noted that Punjab National Bank (PNB) has recntly given its customers the facility to turn on/off their ATM debit card through PNBOne app. If you do not use your card, you can turn it off. By doing this, the money kept in your bank account will remian safe.
