EPFO Update: Check step-by-step guide to link Aadhaar-UAN on UMANG app, online, offline

The UMANG or Unified Mobile Application provides a passage for various government services in one place.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) had recently announced that members will be able to avail the UAN-Aadhaar linking facility through the UMANG Mobile App. The UMANG or Unified Mobile Application provides a passage for various government services in one place. 

In the existing facilities, linking the Aadhaar number with the PF account is a new entry. 

Here are three other ways in which you can link your Aadhaar card to your PF account. 

Link Aadhaar with PF account via the UMANG app 

Step 1: Download the UMANG app via Google Play Store or Apple iOS. 

Step 2: Click on the EPFO link.

Step 3: Tap on 'eKYC Services'.

Step 4: Select the' Aadhaar Seeding' option and keep your UAN ready.

Step 5: Enter your UAN number and OTP will be sent to your registered phone number. 

Step 6: Once you enter all the details, your Aadhaar will get linked to your UAN number.

Link Aadhaar with PF account via the EPFO website 

Step 1: Visit the EPFO website - www.epfindia.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the online services section. 

Step 3: Tap on eKYC portal link.

Step 4: Click on 'Link UAN Aadhaar' and an OTP will be sent to your registered phone number. 

Step 5: After the OTP verification, provide your Aadhaar Number.

Step 6: Another OTP will be sent, post verifying that, if UAN details match with Aadhaar then UAN-Aadhaar linking will be completed. 

Link Aadhaar with EPF account offline 

Step 1: Visit the office and fill the 'Aadhaar Seeding Application' form 

Step 2: Enter your UAN and Aadhaar details and other relevant information in the form. 

Step 3: Attach self-attested copies of your PAN, Aadhaar, and UAN.

Step 4: Submit the filled-out form in any field offices of EPFO or Common Service Centres (CSC).

Step 5: Once verification is done, Aadhaar will be linked to the EPF account.

Step 6: Once the Aadhaar and UAN are linked, you will receive a message on your registered mobile number for confirmation.
