Sayantani Ghosh, actress, shares some money tips

Your first paycheck?

It was about Rs 800 for one of my modeling assignments.

Your most expensive purchase to date?

My house. Housing in Mumbai is expensive.

Who manages your money?

I only do it, though at times I do seek advice from my dad.

Your advice about money?

My approach towards money has evolved over time. We all have desires, but one must identify genuine desires which give genuine happiness, like going on a holiday and spending time with family. Spend on things that matter and have a decent amount of savings.

Your money mistake?

I have invested in a property where my money is stuck for almost 10 years and a legal battle is going on. I guess almost every other person in Mumbai has property-related woes and I wish we have a more efficient legal system to sort it out.

Next big purchase you are planning

I have nothing as such right away, but l always gift myself something nice on my birthday. It's my gift to me so I guess my next big purchase will be my own gift.
